The mesh is the central element at the heart of a fly screen. Given the wide range of requirements for insect screens, it is important that specific types of mesh are used. Our selection of insect screen meshes meets different needs: For people with allergies, we present the certified Polltec fabric, which effectively protects against pollen. Pet owners will find particularly resistant polyester fabrics that can withstand claws. In industrial sectors such as the food industry, our robust stainless steel meshes have proven their worth. What all our fly screen meshes have in common is outstanding stability and a long service life.

Transpatec

Transpatec is a special mesh developed by Neher to keep insects out. It is characterized by a clear view, good air permeability and dirt-repellent properties. It achieves this thanks to a very fine thread with a diameter of just 0.13 mm. The small holes in the fabric are even narrower than in conventional fly screens, which effectively protects against insects.

Having already received several awards, including the Reddot Design Award and the iF Design Award, Transpatec was recognized in 2020 with the PlusX Award for innovation, high quality, user-friendliness and functionality. It also received the award for best product of the year 2020 in its category.

What are the differences between the original Neher Transpatec mesh and other transparent meshes?

Important to know: There are meshes from various suppliers that are referred to as “Transpatec – same”. These alternatives are usually made of thin fiberglass mesh and are nowhere near as robust and resistant as the original Neher Transpatec fabric. Designations for such replacement meshes can be: “Transparent fabric, VisionAir-Gaze, Clear Advantage, ClearScreen, Lightview, UltraView, Klartec, “transparent mesh” and similar.

Fiberglass mesh

Our conventional fly screen material, also known as Neher fiberglass mesh, is extremely robust and can withstand a wide range of weather conditions. The mesh is firmly bonded together at the intersections of the threads, making it extremely resistant to wear and tear. We offer this Neher fiberglass mesh in two colors (grey and anthracite) and in two different thicknesses. The anthracite version is characterized by better transparency compared to the grey version.

Transpatec fine-mesh fabric TFP

Our unique fine mesh fabric from Transpatec has a mesh size of 1.27 x 0.56 mm and offers reliable protection against tiny insects. It also has a remarkable ability: It reduces pollen from grasses by 66%, from birch trees by 52% and from ragweed by 51%.

The Transpatec fine mesh fabric with pollen protection stands out from conventional pollen protection mesh as it offers improved transparency and increased air permeability.

Polltec pollen protection fabric

Our Polltec pollen screen is an innovative solution for insect screens that protects against pollen and insects at the same time. Thanks to its extremely fine mesh, Polltec pollen protection fabric stops an impressive 99% of all pollen, finally giving allergy sufferers the chance to breathe easy.

Stabilotec PA

Our polyester mesh, known as Stabilotec PA from Neher, is characterized by exceptional tear resistance and was specially developed for use in households with pets such as cats and dogs. However, it is also ideal for heavy-duty environments such as commercial or hotel environments. Stabilotec PA consists of a special multifilament polyester yarn that is coated with plastic.

Pleated mesh PLS

Our pleated mesh, known as PLS, is made from polyester yarn and is coated with plastic. This pleated polyester mesh is characterized by its excellent tear resistance and weather resistance.

Stainless steel mesh V2A coated (V2AA)

The sturdy, resistant stainless steel wire is only 0.15 mm thick, resulting in a robust mesh with high light and air permeability. In contrast to an uncoated stainless steel mesh, this mesh offers very good transparency. The coating is also PVC-free. However, the coated stainless steel mesh is sensitive to dents and dings in the mesh, which can impair the appearance. It should therefore only be used if the frame is rarely or carefully handled.

Stainless steel mesh V4A

Our V4A stainless steel mesh has been specially developed for use in demanding hygienic environments. It is characterized by its excellent resistance to cleaning agents and is particularly suitable for food processing companies and kitchens. It is also resistant to rodents and is often used on floor-level windows and doors.

Stainless steel mesh for light well V2A coated (V2MG)

Our stainless steel mesh for light wells, known as V2MG, is an innovative addition to the Neher LiSA, ELSA and Terresa light well covers. It is a robust wire mesh with a thickness of 0.6 mm, which can be walked on and is also powder-coated. This powder coating improves corrosion resistance and gives the mesh an attractive appearance.

Alternatively, we also offer an uncoated version of the stainless steel mesh under the name V2A, which has a high gloss and is available on request.

Aluminum expanded metal SMDG, SMMG and SME1

How does the Neher insect screen electric roller blind work?

Installation: The electric roller screen is manufactured to the dimensions of your window. Please note that the electric roller screen cannot be installed using adhesive tape. The roller blind can only be screwed on to provide a stable and secure fixing.
Function: The electric roller screen consists of a sturdy frame and a high-quality, light and air-permeable insect screen. Thanks to the electric drive, the roller blind can be opened and closed conveniently at the touch of a button. It provides reliable protection against insects and allows an uninterrupted view.
Handling: The Neher electric insect screen for doors is very convenient to operate. You can conveniently control the roller screen with the remote control or via your smart home system. This enables easy and effortless access to the outside.

Can the remote control be used to operate several electric roller blinds at the same time or is it limited to controlling a single roller blind at a time?

With the 6-channel remote control, it is possible to control several electric roller blinds at the same time. A wall bracket is supplied in which the remote control can be hung while it is being operated. It is possible to operate up to 6 electric roller blinds or groups separately. You can also select which electric roller blinds or groups are to be controlled together. This function enables convenient and individual control of several roller blinds with just one remote control.

Are there measures in place to prevent accidental passage by clearly recognising whether the net is extended or not?

In order to prevent accidental passage when the electric roller screen is extended, there is the option of inserting a 10 mm high horizontal sight strip into the fabric. Please note that this cannot be retrofitted. The height of the sight strip can be specified individually, whereby a recommended height of 500 mm with a tolerance of ± 5 mm applies. This option is available for fibreglass fabric and Stabilotec.

In addition, there is a run-through protection sticker that can be stuck to the net. This serves as a visual signal to show that the net is extended. These measures improve the visibility of the extended net to minimise the risk of accidental passage.
